Don Liddell
Don Liddell is founder and partner of Douglass, Liddell, & Klatt, a law firm specializing in regulatory and transactional work for the energy industry, with a particular emphasis on the development of competitive markets in California and the West.
Don has decades of experience representing private clients in regulatory and legislative consulting and advocacy for energy policy, and has worked on behalf of developers, utilities, and the government.
Don is an active member of the energy community. As board member and chairman of the Independent Energy Producers Association, Don helped establish the independent power market in California. Don was also a co-founder and remains general counsel of the California Energy Storage Alliance, an 80+ member advocacy organization in what has become the world’s largest energy storage market.
Don holds an LL.M from the London School of Economics and a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.
