Press Release | Martin Adams Joins the Green Hydrogen Coalition's Board of Directors

August 15, 2024

Sacramento, CA — The Green Hydrogen Coalition (GHC), a 501(c)3 educational nonprofit whose mission is to advance the production and use of green hydrogen at scale for a carbon-free energy system, welcomes Martin Adams to its accomplished Board of Directors. Martin will be joining a distinguished group of industry leaders, including Board Chair Jonathan Birdsong, Board Treasurer Gregory DePasquale, Board Secretary Grace Tsai, Paul Browning, Thierry Lepercq, Don Liddell, Janice Lin, Lacy McManus, and Denita Willoughby.

With 40 years of experience at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), Martin brings a wealth of practical, hands-on experience that will be invaluable in advancing the GHC’s mission. “I was pleased to be involved and support the Green Hydrogen Coalition when it was first established,” said Martin. “While leading LADWP, we became an active participant and supporter of the GHC. Together, we laid the groundwork for a hydrogen economy in the Southern California region, where LADWP benefited greatly from the talking points, facts, and presentation materials provided by GHC.”

Martin’s deep knowledge and strategic insight will drive the development and scaling of green hydrogen infrastructure, supporting multi-sectoral decarbonization efforts and enhancing the organization’s ability to achieve its sustainability goals. “While I originally worked to establish Los Angeles’ leadership role in green hydrogen projects, I believe serving on this board will now allow me to continue supporting the much-needed narrative and coordinated approach to a hydrogen future,” expressed Martin. “The GHC plays an important role in educating the public and elected officials about green hydrogen’s potential and value. This organization continues to be a critical industry partner in actualizing a viable local hydrogen economy that can be replicated across the state and around the country. I am excited to be part of that success.”
