HyDeal Los Angeles is the first initiative in North America to develop a competitive, high-volume supply chain for green hydrogen. HyDeal Los Angeles will create the commercialization roadmap that launches a scaled supply chain delivering green hydrogen at $1.50/kg.

HyDeal LA is the first regional initiative in the Green Hydrogen Coalition’s HyDeal North America platform and is intended to be a model of rapid acceleration for additional regional HyDeal ecosystem initiatives throughout North America.

Los Angeles is Leading the Way in Green Hydrogen

Under Mayor Garcetti’s Green New Deal, Los Angeles has committed to 100% renewable energy by 2045 and net zero carbon emissions by 2050.  The Green New Deal leads with bold action to zero out Los Angeles’ main sources of harmful emissions.

Green hydrogen is recognized by Los Angeles leadership for its ability to help the city decarbonize multiple sectors from power to transportation to refineries, reduce air pollution, repurpose jobs and infrastructure, and improve the quality of life for all Angelenos.

Los Angeles has already demonstrated leadership and momentum in large-scale green hydrogen power generation through the Intermountain Power Project.
